International Mail Suspended Due to Coronavirus
Due to the global spread of the new coronavirus, Japan Post temporarily stopped sending international mail to countries. This is because flights to and from Japan have been drastically reduced.
This has been the case since March 2020, but I only found this out for myself on August 4, 2020, when I went to use the usually efficient Express Mail Service (EMS) at the post office.
To avoid the same fate, you can check the list below or click here to see if your country is on the temporarily suspended list.

FedEx and UPS Locations
If you do not feel satisfied with FedEx you can ship with UPS. However, they do not have extensive services such as FedEx. You can check for a UPS drop off point nearest to you. If you have a package to expedite international, have no fear even though the efficient Japan Postal service is currently not shipping as it usually does. You have other options at hand. But in the meantime, you can get reacquainted with the other services that are at the post office.
